Hi, my name is Nirvan. I'm the director of The 1 Second Film, and keep this blog as a production journal. We also have an open Producers Blog and a collection of perfect moments.
In a world plunged into the dystopian darkness of a global conflict, an international draft has occurred for any person over the age of eighteen. Sent into the depth of battle with a minuscule amount of training, soldier after soldier is lost, but the draft continues.
The Aesir, a squad of new recruits and battle hardened veterans alike, take the war one day at a time, doing their best to survive the massacre and live to see tomorrow. Jason Hermod, a recently drafted private, feels no different. He hopes to finish out his days and return home, having done his duty.
During a particularly gruelling battle on the northern front, in which many members of the squad are killed in action, Jason gets word that his younger sister, a fellow draftee, has become lost in the depth of the jungle. Wrecked with despair, and no longer able to function properly on the battlefield, his commanding officer Sargent John Wodan, makes sure his squad is in charge of the rescue mission.
I've Never blogged before this site. When i first donated i was engaged, and i obviously don't get online enough to blog full time cause now i've moved houses, been married, had a honeymoon, had a birthday.
I've handed a couple of fliers around here, but not sure if anyone took notice.
Anyway, keep up your hard work guys.
I have recently signed on to produce and direct the feature dramatic thriller "I-59 South" starring Olivia de Havilland (Gone with the Wind) and Luke Flynn (In Like Flynn). We are also seeking some other very big names. I am very excited about this project and can't wait to get to work on it! More info can be found on IMDB.
Meanwhile, I am also gearing up for another dramatic feature called "Ben and Alex" with Missy Crider and Nicholas Hoult that will be filming in/around St. Louis, MO the end of this year or early next. It concerns a young man who falls for a beautiful killer. More info can be found at www.myspace.com/benanda...
Here is a logo I sketched out yesterday for "The Big Picture" and quickly photoshopped...

I'll be updating The 5 Phase Plan chart as well:
Here are some sneak previews of the new designs I've been working on for our new site's registration signup and profile setup. (click any image to preview in actual size).
New Users can Join for Free to become basic crew members, or Join and Donate $1 or more to become Producers. If they Join for free, they will be required to complete a Captcha and then confirm their email address.
So, I checked my MySpace and found someone in my Friends List has made an interesting bulletin about Barack Obama is a terrorist and she's seriously scared that our country will go to shit if he's elected. I'm not going to try to persuade votes but people just need to get their info corrected and just don't go by word of mouth... This is the whole email conversation I had with them, (You probably want to read from bottom to top because that's how the message shows) I also rearrange their name so that's not their actual MySpace account. Today I changed the title of Phase 5 of the Collaboration Foundation's 5 Phase Plan.
The previous title of Phase 5 was "The 11,111 Second Film." Kind of esoteric. The new title is "The Big Picture" which I think is much clearer, and doesn't box the project into a conceptual framework regarding time-length.
I think the new title ultimately will help articulate the big picture of what this project and the Collaboration Foundation is all about.

Michal from Ciplex made these flowcharts to help articulate the various paths a user will travel through the signup process. We just reviewed these and isolated a few more pages that need to get mocked up, so i will be doing that today. Prepping the registration process has taken a week longer than anticipated, which has pushed coding back a bit, but we are making progress, and everyone seems to be getting more excited about the project as we get more into the details...
