Penny Ronning

Penny's extensive experience in producing events, working with celebrities, and programming content served as the backbone and intelligence for the creation of HatcH, and the HatcH Audiovisual Arts Festival known as HatcHfest (2004). In the festival’s first year, as Co-Founder and CEO/Chair, Penny attached celebrities, film professionals, corporations and press, including Jeff Bridges, Peter Fonda, Bill Pullman, Michael Keaton, John Dahl, Miramax, Panavision, Gibson Guitar, B|W|R, People Magazine, The New York Times, Variety, CNN, and the Associated Press among the many. As a young girl growing up in Montana, Penny was deeply inspired by fellow Montanan and legendary film actor, Gary Cooper. In 2004, with the support of Maria Cooper Janis, Penny created The Gary Cooper Spirit of Montana Award. Jeff Bridges first presented the award memorializing Mr. Cooper and honoring mentors in the arts to Peter Fonda. As a recipient of Panavision's New Filmmaker Program Package and a multiple award winning student filmmaker, Penny's passion for the arts runs deep. Within the last ten years she has worked with Sundance Film Festival coordinating ticket sales for student filmmakers while helping to secure over $20 million for various creative developments, written multiple business-plans and started her own businesses. With a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production and an MBA, she brings energetic wisdom and the strategic knowledge needed to successfully achieve large goals to every project to which she’s attached. Penny has been instrumental in the creation, operation, publicity, celebrity involvement, and sponsorship acquisition of nine major festival events, over 200 film screenings, world premieres, live theatre performances, photography exhibits, art openings, and fund-raiser galas. She currently serves on the Advisory Board and Development Committee of The Vital Ground Foundation and is an enthusiastic alumnus of UP With People. Promoting The 1 Second Film with every opportunity I have and working to build the Producer's base.
