Rick Fox is an actor and former professional basketball player originally from Toronto, Canada. Fox won three NBA championships as part of the LA Lakers, and has also appeared in numerous films including Eddie, He Got Game, and Blue Chips. The director of The 1 Second Film ran into Rick at an LA coffee shop. The two struck up a conversation and minute later, Fox joined a giant team of 1.

Becoming a father was a perfect moment. Another one was watching the last second tic off the clock as we were about to win our first NBA championship.

    Site Upgrades: Varnish Installed + 2 Week Hiatus

    This week, we finally got Varnish installed on our servers. Varnish helps our Drupal site performance by making better use of cache to serve up content (instead of the database), and will allow our site to handle a lot more anonymous visitors (hopefully!).

    We are still making other site improvements. The site is still pretty slow, and we also need to improve performance for logged in users. Basically, there is a lot of tech to do. We don't have the resources to do everything, but we want to make  sure we make the most of what we have.
