Occupation: Actor
My Bio
I am an actor, producer, writer, director, casting director, voice over artist, music lover, adventurer, traveler, paranormal investigator, and sometimes superhero. I have been acting for over 10 years now. Although I grew up on stage, my main focus is television and film. Since May of 2005, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of over eighty films and I'm continuing to have many great adventures! 2010 has already brought me unbelievable roles in all kinds of great projects including the short "Waiting Fear," (now available on DVD on Amazon) and the feature "The Man in the Maze" which will be coming out in theatres very soon! This year also brought an array of festival screenings including "The Devil at Lost Creek" at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase and "Nixon and Hogan Meet Satan" in the Fright Night Film Festival. I also continue to do extra work having recently worked on "Little Fockers," "Joint Body," and "After the Wizard." Besides my main stay of acting, I am also an active producer and will be producing my first feature titled, "Flushed" within the next year. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up with People: One of my crowning achievements came in 1999 when I embarked on a one-year tour with the international, multi-cultural, non-profit group Up with People in Cast A. For that year, I performed with a group of 150 students from all over the world doing a two-hour show, community service, and stayed with host families. We traveled throughout the Midwest and Northeast United States as well as Sweden, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, and Portugal. I also stopped into the Czech Republic which was also a very beautiful country. In April 2006, I also participated in the re-launch of the the organization performing in the premiere show at Teikyo Loretta Heights University in Denver, CO. I am looking forward to working with them again and am always glad to speak with others from a different cultural background.
What are some things you're doing to help make this film?
I have posted a blog about the project and that it is taking donations in every place I am on the web (which is expansive) including MySpace, YouTube, Xanga, Blogspot, and many others. I have also told every one of my industry contacts, friends, and family.
Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?
I have been acting and working in theatre, film, and television for almost fifteen years now and I'm also very involved in charity projects especially do to my participation with Alpha Phi Omega (National Co-Ed Service Fraternity) and there's no way I could miss being a part of a such an amazing project that combines the two!

Erkman27's Perfect Moment

If you had to choose a 'perfect moment' from your life to make into a one-second film, what would it be?

That would have to be the moment my name makes the celebrity list on The 1 Second Film's producers' page!

This week, we finally got Varnish installed on our servers. Varnish helps our Drupal site performance by making better use of cache to serve up content (instead of the database), and will allow our site to handle a lot more anonymous visitors (hopefully!).

We are still making other site improvements. The site is still pretty slow, and we also need to improve performance for logged in users. Basically, there is a lot of tech to do. We don't have the resources to do everything, but we want to make  sure we make the most of what we have.

I couldn't be more excited! This film is an incredible and revolutionary project and I'm so glad I can be a part of it!

P.S. If you're wondering about the superhero thing, Eon Warrior is a character of my own creation and design I came up with well over ten years ago. I recently auditioned for "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" and I hope to do more projects with the character soon.

Hey Eric,

Thanks for being a part of this! We need more superheros to get involved, so spread the word. Be sure to give any friends you refer your new Producer ID#. At some point, referrals will appear on your profile, and you will be able to build your own personal crew of friends. We will also add features that let our producers organize events and groups. Please report any bugs/suggestions to our forum.

Enjoy our new site!
