Many of the profile functions of the site are only available to our producers. Make sure you are logged in by the 'producer login' link at the top of the page.

Logging In

To log in you must first register to become our producer and then validate the e-mail address that your registered with.

Each account must have a unique e-mail address.

If you donated before we had an automated system and do not know your password, try having a new password sent to the e-mail address you signed up with. If we don't have your e-mail on file, please contact us with your name, the amount you donated, and how/when/where you donated, and we will try to hook you up.

If you donated before our system was automated using the same e-mail address for multiple people's credits, please contact us with your name, the amount you donated, and how/when you donated, and supply a unique valid e-mail address for the producer in question so we can generate a new password.

Forgotten Password

If you do not remember your password, you may request a new password here. Your password will be sent to the e-mail used to register your account. You can change your password in your account settings once logged in.

Changing your password

Click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the 'account settings' tab, enter your new password and confirm it in the two boxes under 'password', and click the submit button.

Viewing/Updating your profile

Once you log in, click on the "my profile" link at the top of the page. You should see a profile page similar to what others see when they visit your profile. Profiles are only visible after the account e-mail has been validated. Be sure to check your inbox after you register for a confirmation e-mail to validate your account. Please check your rescent junk mail, as the confirmation e-mail may have been labeled as spam.

Finding your name in the producer list

Eventually we plan to have a button on each producer profile that will link directly to that name on the producer list. This is a bit complex, because our producer list is dynamic and constantly changing. So until we can program this function, you can find a name on the list by going to the producer page and clicking on the appropriate producer level tab (associate, producer, or executive). Scroll/browse until you find the dollar amount you've donated. If multiple donations for that amount are listed, find your name in the proper alphabetical order, sorted by last name. You may also search for a producer to fine their profile page, and then browse for their name on the producer list by amount donated.

Becoming a Producer of the Moment

To become a featured producer of the moment:

1. Donate to become our producer and activate your profile.

2. Upload a photo of you promoting The 1 Second Film to your profile and fill in your bio.

3. Post a request in our POTM forum to be added to our Producer of the Moment pool.

Adding an image to your profile

Click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the account settings tab, click on the 'browse' button. Navigate your computer to the image you would like to upload and click 'ok'. Once the path to the image is in the upload field, go to the bottom of the page and click the 'submit' button. The image will automatically resize and crop for the appropriate pages. If you upload a large, high quality image, we might be able to feature it in our documentary or elsewhere on the site! download our flier here

Adding your web link to your profile

To display your homepage in the 'websites' box of your profile, click on the 'settings' button at the top of the page. In the 'bio' tab, enter your main homepage URL (include "http://") i.e. "http://www.mysite.com"

Adding your imdb page link to your Profile

Yoc can add an IMDb link if you have one. To display your imdb link in the 'websites' box of your profile, Login to your producer profile and click on the 'settings' link at the top of the page. In the 'bio' tab, enter your imdb link in the correct box. For example: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1301263/

Adding a video to your profile

To add a video to your Producer Profile, click on the 'settings' link at the top of the page. In the 'my video' tab, you can enter a link from a YouTube video, and it will display in your profile. You do not need to use the embed code, just the http:// link. Add a title and description in the appropriate boxes. Click the submit button at the bottom of the page. Don't forget to join our YouTube Group!

After you submit a video, post a note in our Forum POTM Guestbook letting us know to check it out! Approved videos will get a little red video icon on our online producer list!

Allowing others to donate to your profile

When you sign up, you had the choice of allowing others to donate to your credit or locking it out. If you have a special donation amount that you would like to keep, you can leave this locked. To unlock it, click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the 'preferences' tab, click the 'Allow other people to donate money to my producer credit" box. Click the submit button at the bottom of the page.

Changing your privacy settings

Login to your account and then click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the 'preferences' tab, you can choose to make your profile private. Noone will be able to view your profile when this box is checked; in the future, we hope to give you the ability to allow people you choose to view your profile. You can also choose to turn off email updates and whether or not you would like to be contacted for interviews and promotion. After checking/unchecking the boxes, click the submit button at the bottom of the page.

Filling out the rest of your profile

Click on the settings tab at the top of the page. Navigate through the various tabs and fill our as much information as you are comfortable with. Not all of this information is displayed on your profile. As we update and change the site, the displayed information may change. We will never give out any personal information such as phone numbers, addresses, or credit card details.

Posting blogs

All producers can post a production blog from their profile page. Individual blogs are also added to our main Producers' Blog.

To add links, images, and video to blog posts: Adding a link is as simple as copying and pasting the link into your text. You can add an image using the <img>imagepath</img> html code. You can add links and images to your blogs, forum posts, and some places in your profile. To add video, simply post a video on YouTube and copy the embed code into your blog post. Videos currently only work on YouTube.

Lines and paragraphs break automatically.

Web and e-mail addresses are automatically converted into links

Setting your time zone

Click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the 'account settings' tab, go to the bottom of the page. Choose your time zone from the drop down menu, and click the submit button. If you don't know your time zone, you can find out from this website.

Adding a signature

A signature is text that will show up at the bottom of all your comments and forum entries, automatically. Click on the settings link at the top of the page. In the 'account settings' tab, go to the signature box, add some text, and click submit at the bottom of the page.
