My name is Jacob (Jake) Vander Ark and I wanted to thank you for putting my name and picture on your web site as well as the link to my new IMDB page! I'm 21 and trying desperately to work on a portfolio for AFI so I can be a director... a very difficult dream to fulfill. I'm in the middle of an enormous backyard film this summer, but I've got time to make a doc or narrative or anything for The 1 Second Film! So far you've given me a giant stepping stone and I thank you so much for that! Again, if there is ANYTHING else I can do to promote the film, help the cause, and get my name out there, I would love to do it.
Why I'm producing The 1 Second Film:
This whole film and experiment is amazing and I want to be more involved. I am so bloody excited that you put my name right next to Spike Jonze; he is my film making hero. The thought that he could click on my imdb link is so cool! I added another $12.50 via paypal; I'm adding more money because I think your cause is great. Also, I've got a video camera and I'm willing to do anything to promote The 1 Second Film, just tell me what to do!
