Hello everyone! I have a whole boatload of news as I have been a very busy boy lately. First on the list is that I have landed a role in the upcoming horror epic titled "Blood de Madam: The Fallen Ones" in a principle role. Also starring in the film are horror greats Ari Lehman, Tiffany Shepis, Felissa Rose, Lloyd Kaufman, and Monique Dupree! As you can imagine, I'm quite stoked about it!
My short film "Scalpel" that I wrote, prouduced, and directed is currently making the festival rounds. It screened in the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase as well as KDHX's Coming UP Shorts Program and will be in Idaho Ave. Film Festival in St. Louis, MO on Sep. 13 as well. I have been sending it all over the place and hopefully will have many more fests to announce soon.
Yesterday my friend and I were biking through Silverlake on our way to Santa Monica for the Glow art fest. We pulled up to a red light and Kiefer Sutherland was standing right next to us on the corner, about to cross the street. I said "hi." It took him a moment to remember where we had met, until I mentioned that he had given me $600.23 to help Executive Produce The 1 Second Film. Then he smiled and said he had just been telling someone about our film the other day. I thought that was pretty cool :)
It has been about a year since I randomly ran into Kiefer at a restaurant. We caught up briefly with the project and I gave him one of our new fliers that has his photo on it, which was sort of funny. Kiefer is a really nice guy.
Life is all about having he best time with your friends and family.
Coolio is now Producer #9,131 of The 1 Second Film!
I was at a dinner party last night and Coolio was there helping to cook. Los Angeles is sort of absurd that way. It was at the house of a friend - and another of our producers :)
Coolio actually has a cooking show called "Cooking with Coolio" on MyDamnChannel. He is a really cool guy and a great story teller with tons of interesting tales to tell. Definitely a nice guest to have at a dinner party and a welcome producer to have on our little movie.
: Fw: Too old for gigs
1. It becomes more important to find a place on stage for your fan than your amp.
2. Your gig clothes make you look like George Burns out for a round of golf.
3. All your fans leave by 9:30 p.m.
4. All you want from groupies is a foot massage and back rub
5. You love taking the elevator because you can sing along with most of your playlist
6. Instead of a fifth member, your band wants to spring for a roadie
7. You lost the directions to the gig
8. You need your glasses to see the amp settings
9. You've thrown out your back jumping off the stage
Hi everyone, there have been some dramatic changes going on behind the scenes.
i've been having what feel like major breakthroughs in the next steps of this project. alot of the epiphanies have been made whille redesigning our website. the main goals of this redesign are to increase the usability for the community features while breaking down barriers to entry. a lot of community features never got finished during our last big site updgrade; the previous update was really about automating the sign up system so we didn't have to keep entering names by hand, and introducing profiles so everyone could update bios, etc.
Saturday we started painting our bus; before the volunteers arrived, I ran to the local hardware store to get supplies. By chance, I ran into Dr. Drew Pinsky from Loveline as he was buying lightbulbs. I have learned to carry 1 Second Film fliers with me everywhere I go just because of things like this. I introduced myself, gave him a flier, and told him about The 1 Second Film. Dr. Drew is a really nice guy- he thought the project was really interesting and wanted to become a producer on the spot! He chipped in $20, which I put toward the paint. :) Thanks Dr. Drew, and welcome to our crew! To add Dr. Drew to your crew, visit Dr. Drew's Producer Profile = http://the1secondfilm.com/producer/7715
So here's what's up. I just came back from Grindhouse. It's amazing.I think it has the best stunt performance I've ever seen. And it just so happens to be by a Producer of ours, Zoë Bell. If you've seen the movie then you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't then I'll just let you know that she's on a car and it's the sickest thing I've ever seen.So that's my thought on the issue, and that's why I think she's the best stuntperson (yep, better than anyone else) out there. She's supported us since way back, and she's awesome. Just thought you should know.

Here is some video of Kiefer Sutherland sharing his perfect moment to make into a one second film. He also donated $600.23 to become our Executive Producer. Apologies for the low quality audio/video; I feel lucky we grabbed any footage at all. This was a totally spontaneous and absurd encounter. For a recap, visit this blog post from two weeks ago. Kiefer was totally awesome. He was really supportive of the independent and collaborative nature of this project.

If anyone feels inspired to share a perfect moment, post a video response to Kiefer's video on YouTube.
Yesterday, completely by random, I ran into Kiefer Sutherland who was with some friends at a bar. I went up and pitched The 1 Second Film and 10 minutes later we had raised a combined $650 for our film! Kiefer donated $600.23 making him our current #8 Top Executive Producer. Why $600.23? I'm not sure; but I think it has something to do with saving the world... and "the future!!!" Check the check for clues. If Kiefer is still in our Top 11 when the film is done, he will get a title-credit appearing before The 1 Second Film begins. If anyone would like to be listed on top of Mr. Sutherland (and enter the running for a title-credit) just donate $600.24 or more. Needless to say, having Kiefer Sutherland in our Top 11 could be another big little moment for our production.
