As I donated another small amount today, I had an interesting thought. What is the right amount to donate? I recently donated to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. Personally, I believe it is a better group to donate to; however, I fully support the 1 Second Film and other art projects. I also plan on donating more to the 1SF before the project is complete.
So, my question to anyone who may read this is how do YOU decide how much to donate and who to give it to? There are many "worthy" charities working to find cures for countless diseases. There are other causes, such as this, that I also feel are worthy. There are websites I frequent that run exclusively on donations. Unfortunately, I cannot give everything I have to each of them. What do you do? How do you do it? Most importantly, why do you do it?
I will tinker with Paypal to see if I can make a weekly donation of one dollar.
I challenge others to do the same.
Well, it finally happened. A moment we had eagerly been anticipating. We went over to Andy Dick's and showed him the footage of Tom Green outbidding him. We also brought over one of the pinatas we bought the other day, which really seemed to inspire Andy:

We showed Sabrina the video of Vernell and Dana accepting her challenge, and Sabrina stepped up and threw down another $25, bringing her total to $150.
But before another day had passesd, our Miami Execs sent us $63 to top Sabrina and bring their total to $200!
Things are really starting to heat up. This kind of competition is really the next level. With any luck, we will raise enough money to be able to but some proper equipment for making the documentary. As it is, our sound is going to be really awful.
